A little girl with a hernia

Question
Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to read this question. Well, I have just graduated from architecture school, got my first real job and can now afford an animal.  My father recommended to me a Boston Terrier, a breed that my grandmother apparently bred her entire life.  Anyway, I found a breeder near me in Louisiana with three pairs of adult dogs, each with their own recent litter (like in the past two months).  There are boys and girls, some black and white, some red and white, and my question is which sex is more evenly tempered, if there even is a difference?  And, there is one little girl who was born with a small hernia that the breeder says can be removed easily without much difficulty.  Basically, it isn't life threatening.  What do you think about this?

Answer
Hello. Congrats on getting a Boston! They are wonderful very funny little dog's...they have a great sense of humor and can make you laugh even if your mad at them. I have a female she is rather agressive with my other dog if they dare touch her toys...she thinks all the toys are hers...she is spayed and 1 year 3 months old. I can say that I've never had a male boston terrier Hannah is my first boston and won't be the last but I've no experiance with males of the breed. The breed is Not known to be domanting like most other terriers are(Boston terriers are classed in the non sporting group.... Not the terrier group). Go for the puppy you think has the best temperment...not the very shy one and not the one thats chewing on all his siblings!. About the hernia well if the Breeder corrects it before you take her home its fine if she wont then I wouldnt take her because it will cost a bundle plus the full price of the puppy wouldnt be fair.... and if the breeder doesnt want to have it done herself she shouldnt be breeding if she can not afford to take care of the litter before they are sent home...and in which case I'd find another breeder. Please look into my website it offers much more information...all about dog/puppy care and choosing a breeder as well.
