Question
I forgot to mention earlier that my Bichon weighed 1 lb 7 ounces at 9 weeks old and is now almost 10 pounds at 8 months. I have been cutting her down on her kibble, which I have been using Chicken Soup for the Puppy Lovers Soul (Do you know if this is a good food for her?) I have been feeding chicken, veggies and rice with some kibble mixed with it.  Is this a good start or should I feed all kibble with some veggies?

Answer
Hiya, If it was me I would take her off the kibble, its so high in items that will just pile on the pounds. I would give her plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables , such as green beans, broccolli (not too much), spinach (good to prevent cataracts), carrot batons, tomato, cucumber, apple, pear, blueberries, peach, raw chicken wing (1 per day) , lay off the rice , some lung, white fish, a bit of salmon  for fatty acids.Mashed potatoes, and plenty of fresh water.

This should fill her up naturally and assist her not hinder her .
Look at a good barf diet, as bichons do very well on it.

we have lots of acvice should you need it on our health site
