Question
Derby, my 4year old bichon frise wont stop peeing on the bed no matter
what i do to tell her how wrong it is, she started this about 11 months
ago after i left her for a month with my mother for a vacation. What
bothers me most is how she acts after doing it, She acts as if she knows
she's done something very wrong. Please what do i do to stop this?

Answer
Hi Femi
firstly Bichons have a knack of being stubborn and they play to attention both good and bad.Dogs dont pee because they are naughty, dogs regard peeing as a way to warn others away, protect their own space and tell males they are ready for procreation, peeing on your bed is her way of saying I am here to protect YOU. So, by telling her off you are in fact reinforcing her behaviour.

Firstly ignore her and wash bedding in lemon juice to remove the scent of which she is reinforcing everytime she pees.
Secondly, if she is spayed good if not and you are not breeding her have her spayed as this can (not always ) reduce scenting.
then read the following link from my site and follow it strictly and all will be hunky dorey again very soon.It works for both males and females as your female may see herself as the alpha dog in your home , you being passive in her eyes.
