PREGNANT OR NOT

Hi
we took our Bishon to a reputable breeder just over 5 weeks ago.  4 weeks later we took her to the vet who said that she couldn't feel any pups. her stomach is really swollen and she does nothing apart from sleep. Also her appetite has increased. Today she has started being sick. from these symptoms could she be having pups?  any feedback is appreciated.

I would get the vet to do a scan , that way you will not only see pups but how many and hopefully the sex too.
At 4 weeks and her first whelp it is usually very high so the vet wouldnt be able to feel pups its simply too early. Sickness is a good sign as is sleeping, look at her teets do they look swollen and slightly redder than pink.
At 4 weeks I am experienced enough to feel pups in the uterus but most vets cannot assess this as they rarely see a pregnant bitch especially early in the whelp.
