Question
I have a three year old begal i just recently aquired a two year old female today that met for the first time the male waged his tail the time but the female was a little standoffish they were playing but the male seem to get rough.she is at my parents house, but i want to bring her home. HOW should i go about this and what should i do?   thank you curtis

Answer
First, you shouldn't bring the female into the male beagles home. You should let them met at a neutral place. Maybe a local park or school playground. Let them get to know one another there before bringing her home. If you have the option you should do this a few times before bringing the female home.
You said that the male was getting rough? Playing rough? Or biting and being aggressive? If he is being aggressive stop him. Pretty soon they will both learn who is more the alpha but, that doesn't mean they should fight. You know who the Alpha is, right? YOU! And every other human in the house. And both of your beagles should do what you say.  Are they fixed? This would make it easier unless you plan to breed them.
Curtis, you have any other questions PLEASE feel free to ask.
