barks all night.

Question
I keep my 4 month old beagle in an open pin at night so she isn't
crowded in a crate. She isn't completely  potty trained so I can't leave
her out or let her sleep with me. She barks and whines. She has a bed, a
blanket and a toy. How can I get her to be quite at night?

thanks for writing..... a four month old beagle should be ablet o hold their bladder for about 4 hours, keeping her int he pen at night isnt going to help potty train her, she needs to be taken out unfortunately. If she is going pee in the pen this might be part of why she barks or whines, it is also possible to be partly separation anxiety. Beagles are pack animals and they do not do well alone, they readily adapt to human packs but regardless they crave company, canine or human. Is it possible to put her pen in your room so she can smell and see you? If you would like some info on housebreaking over a weekend please write back and let me know.
