getting a 2 nd toy poodle

I have a 2 yr old male  neutred toy poodle.  I want to get another companion dog.  Should the dog be a puppy under 5 months or a puppy over 5 months?  Should the dog me a male or a female?  Which would be a more appropriate sex?

Hi Selma, Actually, if you know how, you can socialize any dogs together. In your case, I would recommend a young female who will bond with you and your family. As long as your human family has the alpha role and never allows any dominant behavior with the dogs, they should get along just fine. I always have a huge pack of all breeds, sexes...and everyone gets along well. So do not worry. Please let me know what you choose and how they are doing, and leave some feedback.
