Keep my kitten inside.

Question
I have a male kitten about 5 months old (he's not yet neutered, but he will be next month), and he's not declawed.  He won't quit going outside.  It's generally only at night when he does this, but that means he's been locked out.  He has his shots, but because he's only in the fenced backyard, he doesn't wear a collar.  We have a doggie door, and since it's my roommate's dogs, I can't just keep it shut all the time.  I've bought my Grigori (my kitten) new toys to play with, and I've tried spraying citrus scent around the door (since I've read cats don't like it) but still he goes outside.  What can I do?

Answer
Hello Christa!

The one thing that sticks out in my mind for advice is asking your roommates if you three (or more, not sure how many of you there are total...hehe) can all pitch in and get the dogs a magnetic doggy door.  They're a doggy door that will only open for the animal that has the corresponding magnet on their collar.  It therefore wouldn't open for your kitty.  They make them for kitties, so I see absolutely NO reason they wouldn't make them for dogs.  Check around, and let me know what you guys decide!  :o)

Hugs to you all!
