Question
I have a female 3 year old fixed and declawed, my boyfriend has a male 4year old fixed and declawed. they are both an only-cat in our homes.  My female just LOVES my boyfriend and he is wanting to adopt her (she hates me!).  his male tends to be territorial and aggressive, yet they have not met.  He gets along well with my lap dog though he did swat her when she ate his food. we are trying to figure out the best way to introduce these cats to make it a smooth transistion and stress free for both cats. what is the best way to do this? thanks a lot!

Answer
Kim,

Just remember to take it slowly and don't rush the getting acquainted period. It generally will take 2 weeks or more for things to settle down.

Here are some good articles on how to introduce cats:

I hope these help. If you have more questions feel free to write back.
