cat bullies dog

I have a hunch that my cat is beating up my yorkie while I'm not home. I came home one day to find my dog limping, as my cat sat upon the stairs with a disgruntled look on his face. My dog is almost 13, and I don't want him to live in fear. I am considering getting rid of the cat. What can I do?

Since your dog is 13 he may be starting to get arthritis. The cat and dog may be playing chase games and the dog turned wrong. If the dog is not hiding from the cat or running off when the cat comes around then I don't think your cat is being mean to the dog.

I would take the dog for an elderly dog checkup. If he is gett.ing a little arthritic then the vet can prescribe some medicine to help.

The cat may have been disgruntled because you came home and interupted his play.
