QuestionMy beautiful chocolate point Himalayan has luxurious thick fur. However he once again is starting to get mats and I am unsure how to get rid of them. He is matted in just a few spots, but deep down to the skin. I do brush him regularly and have had him lion shaved a couple of times. However, I really don't like getting him shaved especially in the fall when the weather starts to get colder. He lives with me in an apartment. I would be glad for any help.
AnswerKoKo,
In your case, I would suggest using a matting comb. Go to a pet store and buy a matting comb and if you don't know what it is then someone that works there could tell you what it is. It is a comb, but has blades on it. It gets out the matts and then I would suggest buying an undercoat rake which will help a lot.
thanks.
