Length of time between kittlen being born

Question
My cat gave birth to one kitten on Saturday afternoon.  After about 2 hours and not having another kitten, I called an animal hospital.  They told me she could go as long as 4 hours between kittens.  She seemed fine, and did not have another kitten until late Sunday night, or early Monday morning.  Mother and kitten both seem fine.  Have you ever heard of this happening before?

I have had this situation many times. If the cat is not having contractions and seems to be fine, just wait and the kittens will appear shortly.  I have had them as much as two days apart with no problems at all.
Isn't nature interesting?
