Cat Eye Pussing and Rolled back

I came home from work to find my outdoor, formerly stray cat with his eye shut, full of water and pus. His eye is rolled back into his head.  the other eye is also showing signs of possibly doing this.  What is the issue here?
something i can do at home for him?

Hello Dawn,

Hi eye is not likely rolled back but covered by his third eyelid.  I am not a vet but what he has sounds like conjunctivitis which is usually caused by a virus and will require vet care to clear up as well as keep it from getting worse.
