ear hematomas

My dog has had 3 ear surgeries to remove hematomas in the last two months.  They keep coming back. What should I do?

Answer
Aural hematomas result from violent head shaking.  If they are reoccurring, then you should have the ears checked to see if there is an infection or irritation to the ears.  If the surgery is done correctly, then these should not reocccur in the same place.
