salt water pond

I live next to the ocean and was wondering if its possible to actually have a garden pond that is filled with saltwater instead of fresh water ? I want to have saltwater fish live in the pond .

I would think this quite feasible. Is it practical to fill it right frrom the ocean and use a fountain pump to move the water? If so go to a salt water aquarium store and get some details on checking salt levels because the sun may diminish salt contents. Saltwater fish are quite expensive and some research may save you a lot of frustration and money.
