Prefab pond floats

We were watering the yard today and our prefab pond kit (125 gallons, full) started floating and tipped over (in ground).  How did this happen and what do we do to fix it.  We are amazed that a full 125 gallon pond kit would float on only a little bit of water.  Thanks.

Todd,

Put a plastic bowl full of water in the sink and start filling the sink outside of it.  When the water reaches the lip of the bowl or slightly above it, it will float.  The prefab pond shell weighs virtually nothing and even a small amount of water will fill the space between the pond and the hole and float it out.

Put a few rocks or a layer of gravel in the pond and it will settle back down into the hole.
