koi floating on side

I have a koi pond for several years in Montana. We have it heated in the winter. One of the fish is floating on it's side, I brought it in and the more shallow water seemed to help I have given him ick meds. and after 3 days inside is starting to float side ways again I have checked the water & it is fine. What can I do for him??

I am not sure.
Sometimes this happens when Koi get really cold and the fat they have stored for the winter actually congeals inside their body.
But yours did it inside, also, and that puzzles me.
