Question
Last night someone decided to play a prank and pour oil into our koi fish pond. I think it is actually lighter fluid for the bar b que. Im wondering How to clean it and how dangerous it is for our fish. We have lots of babies and it is way to hard to get all of them out of our pond. please help!! thanx

Answer
I have seen this before. It is very bad for the fish and life in your pond and most likely will end with death of your pond life.

Remove your fish and put them in a holding take or tub with fresh new water and hope for the best, while you have them out of the "oil pond" drain your pond 100% and take all of your pumps, filters, tubes, rock, and everything, and thoroughly rinse it over and over and over until you see no trace of oil on top of the water.

I hope this help you and your fish.
