 My family owns 30 acres with 15 acres of a pond and under neath our pond there is alot of I am not really sure of what it is called exactly but i believe it is some kind of soil lume dirt and its 15 feet deep our neighbor across the street also owns a pond his pond being only maybe 2 acres and he got his pond dug up and solded his lume dirt for 85 thousand dollars I have in my pond 50 times as much as he had well the question i have is what exactly can it be and who would be in the market to want to buy it? I would appriciate if anyone can help me in this matter and if by helping me and directing me to any business's that would buy it there maybe a cash reward for your time and efforts serious inquiry's only please

Hi John:  The soil under a pond should be extremely rich in nutrients because of the decomposition that would occur in the mud... People who grow plants with specific soil needs would be interested in that.  If you figure that a cubic foot of potting soil goes for about $3 a foot... that  your pond has created a small gold mine... as for who would be interested... I can not say.  I would ask your neighbor or you might even be able to check on line or with companies who sell soil by the cubic foot... dave
