Hi Jonathan,
I've got a pond/waterfall.  It's about 8ft long, 6ft wide, and 4ft deep.  I just ordered a new liner for it.  The old one seemed to have a leak.  

A couple of questions for you:  after giving the co the dimensions, they advised me on a 17 x20 foot liner.  It's too big for the pond.  What is the best way to install this liner?

Do I have to remove the other one?  Should I take the limestone top off so the layer can lay over the top, and then cement the liner back on?  

Can I use seeming tape in some areas where I'm unable to 'go over the top' ??

Thanks for any help you can give me.  It's much appreciated.

That is the same size I would have recommended for the given dimensions.  If it didn't fit, it must not have an average depth, but a maximum depth of 4 ft.

You don't have to remove the first liner, in fact, it will act as extra padding.

You shouldn't use seam tape on anything under the resting water line.  If you just need it for where the waterfall connects, that is alright.  Savio has a good video online showing how you should build a waterfall up.
