Question
i have 2 comets in a small tank, and over last few days one of them is quite skinny and is drifting around as if it is dead. sometimes it will try to swim around, but it struggles and gives up. can i do anything to help it? is it something that cannot be fixed?

thanks
Taylor

Answer
Well, it sounds like it has a disease or parasite. Are there any other signs like, spots, bumps, torn fins, velvet like patches, not eating, or any other odd symptoms? without knowing the other symptoms it is very difficult to nearly impossible to be able to give you an accurate answer. However, it sounds like the biggest problem is the swimming so I would imagine it has a bladder condition or an internal parasite or disease. I would recommend getting an all-in-one treatment which covers internal and external parasites and diseases and treating it. However, this recommendation is based on pretty much nothing so I can not say for sure you should treat the fish. If you wish to let me know any other symptoms the fish has, I can be better equiped to answer what may be the problem. I hope I have helped to the best on my ability. Let me know the symptoms and I will be glad to further assist you.
