Question
I recently bought two of the golden panchax and was told at the pet shop that they were ok for a community tank. However form reading more about them they seem a little dangerous to other fish. When I put them into my tank they were fine and were friendly, but since adding more fish they have been picking on them. I had one glass catfish which they were fine with but when i got more they attacked them and now two have gone?? Also im rather weary of putting my hands in the tank as they have bitten me, is this normal to bite their keepers??? Should I get rid of them? Are they likely to work their way through the tank?

Answer
Also known as the Golden Wonder Killefish...I'm very ver suprised. Are you sure it isn't another fish? Golden Wonder Panchax are very docile fish, I've had one in my tank for awhile and she's never hurt a thing.

I don't think it is normal that they have bitten you, if possible I would return them to the store, or put them up for adoption, or if you want to keep them seperate them into a new tank 10 gallons should be just fine for them. I think you found 2 agressive ones some how. Good Luck!
