hello ma'am, does para grass release toxins when it is cut out and fed to horses?

Hi Rohit,

Para grass can be toxic to ruminants but not toxic per say to horses.  Para grass can contain high levels of oxalate that interfere with calcium availability of the forage so if it is fed for prolonged periods of time you will want to ensure adequate total dietary calcium.
