Question
I have a weanling I want to keep as my stud. But he is onry.
When you lead him he wants to slap you with his front feet.He will bite you but I have slapped him enough times he has gotten over it. But you have to keep an eye on him.
What can I do to make him more manageable now before he gets big and I can't handle him. Or just leaving him alone and let him get out of that rotten stage but I'm afraid I'll then have the mean stage. I need to do something now.
He was born June 12 so he's still young.

Answer
Hi Wilda.

What is this young man doing away from his mum at just 4 months old??  He's bolshy because his moother hasn't had chance to discipline him properly, and he's been taken from a herd environment where he would learn manners and how to behave round others before he's even had a chance to begin, rather like enrolling your child at Kindergarten, then taking them away after 2 days because you don't like the colour of the uniform.

My advice would be to return him to the herd, let him learn his manners there, as his mum, and others will soon teach him to respect others.
