Lese or Buy?

Question
I leased a Connemara cross Welsh Pony for about three years. Unfortunately I out grew the pony size. I'm interested in buying a horse now. I'm not familiar with the market. Any hints on where I could look? I've tried Horse Deals the magazine and through friends, but no luck. Can you adopt a pony or horse?

If you could get back to me that would be great.

Thank you for your time.

Regards,

Pamela Felling

P.S. disregard the previous question. It was intended for another expert. Sorry!

Answer
If you lease - you will have insurance costs -- and you SHOULD insure for mortality so that you would not be responsible should the horse die...

I'm not a fan of leasing.  It depends on your skills and price range what you can or cannot afford to buy - do you have a place to keep a horse on your property - or will you have to board?

Many questions
Thanks
