Vaccination lumps

Question
My 3yr old American Qtr horse received her first set of Potomac Fever & Strangles vaccinations almost 3 weeks ago. She has a lump a little bit bigger than a softball on the size of her neck where the vac shot was, and we noticed today that she now has a lump under her belly where the girth strap sits about the size of a baseball. The one on her neck is warm to the touch. Is this normal? What can we do to make her more comfortable?

Answer
NOT NORMAL. TAKE HER TEMPERATURE TWICE A DAY AND IF OVER 101, GET HER ON SOME ANTIBIOTICS. HOLD HOT TOWELS ON THE  SWOLLIN AREA FOR ABOUT 15 MINUTES, THEN RUB THE AREA WITH ICHTHAMMOL OINTMENT.

IF NO IMPROVEMENT IN A COUPLE OF DAYS, GET THE VET TO LOOK AT HER
