hi  my  name  is  megan  and  i  just  bought  a  mare  in  april  and i  want  the  mare to be  breed  but  they  said  she  was  in  heat  two  weeks  before  i  got  so  i  missed  her  heat  then  when  i  got  her  home  they  said  she  might  be  aready  be  pregnant because there  stud  got  lose  and  some how  got  back  in  there  barn  and  when  they  found  the  stud  and  he  was standind  behind  her  my  question  is  can  my  mare  been  covered in  just  one  time if  she  was  in  heat ?  cause  when  i  was  up  geting  her  i ask  them  to  try  her  and  she  if  she  was  in  heat  but  when  she  was  with  the  stud  she  woundnt  let  hem  near  her  and  chase  hem  and  kick  at  hem and  when  i  got  her  home after i  got  her  in  april and  now  it  is  june and  it  has  been  two  months  has  has been   near  a stud  and  never  came  in  two  weeks  and  she is  3  and  will  be 4  in  june what  are   the  chance  she  is  pregnant?

Answer
She can very well be pregnat. We do not know how many times he mounted her that night.
If a mare is rejecting a stud, and loosing interest in him after being mounted a couple times, it is most likely because she knows she is pregnat.
if she was in heat when the stallion got to her, and u havent seen her come into heat since, then yeah, i would say she is most likely pregnat
