Hi, i loan a ten year old hafflinger X cob 3 times a week, she is fine to feed outside and is good to do in all ways , but if she is in the stable and wants her food, she stands right by the door, ears flat back and i am afraid to go in with her food , what can i do to make her go back and stay back so i can put her food down safetly

Hello Carol,

I would take a riding crop in with me and tap her on the nose or on the chest until she backs up.  And every time she tried to crowd me, I'd tap her again and again until she got the message.  You may have to give strong taps at first, but soon she should learn.  Then when she learns praise her.
