rabbits neck

Question
My female bunny gave birth to her litter 2 years ago and has since had the extra mass around her neck. Untill now this has not caused her any problems untill last week where i noticed a small scab on the side of her neck where this extra fur seems to have been. Yesterday i checked her neck and it appears to be much worse. One side of her neck the fur seems to hanging and now looks infected.I have an appointment at the vets but am concerned of what they can do for her if anything at the chance of survival.I would be extremley grateful for your honesty.

its great that you are going to the vets. Its very important that you get that seen to asap. It could have been that the extra skin has either been rubbing against something, or she could not have been able to clean herself there properly which could have caused irritation. The vet will most probably give you some medicine either to give her oraly or some cream to put onto the sore area. it should clear right up.
