QuestionHi, I noticed last night that my rabbit has fleas. They came from the woman who lives in the apartment below me, she bombed her apartment on sunday. Is it ok to use kitten/puppy frontline? I know flea baths are not usually recommended and he doesnt seem to be itching excessively. I hope to hear back soon! Thanks
Kristen
AnswerDear Kristen
DO NOT USE FRONTLINE ON YOUR RABBIT! IT IS *DEADLY* TO RABBITS!! I hope you have not already done so, because if you did, you need to get him to an emergency vet *immediately* for supportive care and treatment. Frontline will cause fatal neurological damage to rabbits, and even the manufacturer has finally put on the packaging a warning to never use this product on rabbits.
Revolution (selamectin) or Advantage (imidocloprid) are safe for rabbits, and you can get them from a rabbit-savvy vet:

I hope this helps.
