My rat Gus Gus

Question
My poor little rat Gus Gus has spots on his neck and head and he is only three
months old. The spots have some blood on them, and mainly covered in scabs.
He only has them on the neck and up by the ears a little, but no where else on
his body. Please help Gus Gus.

Awww, little Gus Gus will be ok, not to worry.  It could be one of a few things but I need to know a few things about Gus Gus first if you dont mind.  I always ask for help from my readers since of course its not possible to examine the ratties in person, I often ask the reader to do a few things for me. Heck the other day I had a nice gentleman doing a full examine on his old little rat, from head to toe.  I am just going to ask you a few questions though if you dont mind:

1.Do you have Gus Gus in with other rats?
2. What kind of foods does Gus Gus eat?
3. What type of bedding/litter does Gus Gus use in his cage?

If you let me know the answer to these few things, I can help you treat these sores right away and most of the time you wont even need to see a vet for it and can buy things right from the drug store to help him.
