Skinny rat

I have a skinny rat with labored breathing... Do you have any advice on how to help her get her weight back on? If you could please reply to

In order to get her back to a healthy weight, you should address her labored breathing first. Obviously she is ill with either a respiratory infection or possible cardiac related but something is indeed wrong. Having labored breathing is not normal.  She needs a good vet and an exam to determine the cause of her labored breathing and of course, once she is treated and recovering, I am sure she will start to feel better enough to eat and put weight on again.

What is her diet and how often do you feed her?  How old is she?  What type of vet do you see and what is the location?
