Question
Bogart is not sick but he does have some sort of allergy.  His Cere is red and puffy.  He has been checked out by the vet and he cannot find anything wrong.  I know it is some sort of allergy.  I have tried and failed by elimination many things that could be causing it.  I have replaced dyed wood with plain wood.  I have removed several toys and switched to bottled water.  Is there anything I am missing or any ideas of anything else it could be.  I am using a humidifyer and an air cleaner!

Answer
I would recommend making sure that Bogart is getting baths on a regular basis (even daily if necessary).

Also, of course, make sure that he is on a high quality food... you might not see if other parts of skin are dry and irritated if they're covered in feathers. But more bath time and a high quailty diet will help with this. (Try Harrison's organic bird pellets, with a high quality seed mix... in limited amounts... and lots of fresh fruits and veggies).

Also check what kind of cleaners you are using in your house. If you are using any cleaners in Bogart's room... stop using them for a few weeks and see if that helps. (Maybe use a basic soap and water solution to clean if possible).

I hope this helps.
