Love Birds eggs

Question
Today, my female lovebird laid an egg in the food dish.  What do I need to do?  Do they usually lay only one egg?
I am very new to this. Please advise.    Sondrew

Hi, Sondrew.  Thanks for posting!

Is your bird with a mate or is she a single lovebird?  If she's a single lovebird, she's laying infertile eggs.  Just leave them where she lays them until she abandons them on her own.  Once she abandons them, you can remove them and destroy.  They can lay up to 6 eggs, one every other day.

If she's with a mate, that's another story!  Let me know.
