Shaking mouse?

Hello its me again, rachel.
My pet mouse pepper seems to shake when i hold and play with him, he isnt cold to touch so it shouldnt be because hes cold.. Is there something wrong with him?

Hi again Rachel,

I'm not positive what you mean - is he sort of wobbling like he is having trouble moving and balancing?  Or is it more like a shiver that doesn't impair his movement?  Considering Salt's recent passing for an unknown reason, I think it would be a very good idea to stop by a vet familiar with fancy mice and get a professional's opinion.  I can make educated guesses from here, but nothing trumps a vet's ability to see the mouse firsthand and figure out the problem quickly.  I would really hate to take up Pepper's time trying to determine the cause if something is causing him real discomfort.

In the meantime I'd recommend making sure his home is out of the way of any drafts or chills, and to watch and make sure he is eating and drinking normally.  Is his fur clean?  Is he exercising, moving, and playing normally (in the evening hours for most mice)?  Write me back with a few more details if you can't get to a vet and we'll try and figure this out!
