Hello, I just a few days ago picked up my own hamster and he is obviously still very distant and not used to me which i know takes time for them to warm up. But my main question is he is eating a good amount but i have yet to see him drink any water I'm not sure if there is something wrong with how i am providing the water for him or if i am just not seeing him when he does drink. What should i do?

Hi Walter,

    I have seen this happen with my own new hamsters(they usually drink some, but not enough to notice) and it will generally pass within 3-4 days after bringing them home. I usually fill the water bottle up to the top, then check it in the morning to see how much the have taken.
    If your hamster is not drinking by now, try giving him some by hand with an eye dropper or take him to the water bottle or bowl a few times during the evening to try to get him to drink.
