Question
one night i saw my three siberian dwarf hamster (one female and two males)
active. the two males were like fighting and nibbling on each other. then the
bigger male went to the female and started getting over her. he was nibbling at
the head of the female then what i think happened was he mated with her. the
mating happened for like three seconds. does the mating happen that fast?

Answer
Hi Mac

The fact that the males were fighting sounds as though the female was ready for mating and they were deciding who was the dominant one who would mate with her.

The mating can sometimes be very quick. The female often washes after a successful mating.   Were you planning on breeding?  If not, then you need to get her out of their cage now and if she produces a litter, once the babies are 4 weeks old they need to be sexed and separated and the girls can live with her and the boys will need to go into another cage.  If the female is pregnant, be careful because the will mate again the day she give births as she is very fertile then.
