ferrets in the pool

Hello-
With the extremely hot weather approaching us I am attempting to find out peoples opinions on putting their ferret in the pool to swim around and cool off... of course under supervision! Just curious if the chlorine would be something to worry about drying out their skin or making them sick if they swallowed some of it. What do you think? Thanks Jen

I'm not sure how much your ferret will actually like it, but a few swims in the pool is fine under supervision. The chlorine does in fact dry out their skin, which is why it's important not to do it too often and to make sure and rinse him off well with regular water after a swim.
