Answer
Hello Irma,

Have you found your ferret yet?  Ferrets usually do not get too far, but without a source of water and food supply, they do not last very long outside.  Since they have very high metabolisms, a ferret will waste away quickly and will not be able to catch food since they have little (if any) natural hunting ability left.  It would be a good idea to put water and food outside, as well as some blankets or shirts with familiar smells to hopefully lure her back to your yard.  Another thing you can do is cover the ground with a bit of flower around the area, and look for tracks around the bowls to see if she visited it when you are not around.  You can also try squeaking toys too as you look around your neighborhood. For some reason, ferrets come running to that sound in my experience.

Besides that, be proactive.  Go door to door in your neighborhood, pass out/post fliers, put up an ad on petfinder (they have a lost pet section) and in your local newspaper. It is also a good idea to call local vets, petstores, animal shelters/animal control.  Sometimes these are the first to be called with pets are found, or they might have heard of someone who found her.

Best of luck finding your little fuzzy.  I hope some has found her and they are looking for you.
