Can a puppy tolerate a move?

Question
Hello,  My husband and I have a 2 week old bulldog puppy on reserve which we will be visiting regularly at 6 weeks and taking home at 9-10 weeks.  We're planning to move out of state just afterwards (around 12 weeks) to be closer to his  family.  Our move will consist of driving for 2 days and settling into a new condo.  We traveled that way with our last bulldog no problem but she was older.  I'm wondering if the puppy will be ok during the transition if he was on a schedule and close to us the whole time?  However, we're renting out our own condo so the move is on our terms.  If I learned that it might be too stressful, I might try and persuade my husband to put it off a while.  What do you think?  Thank you.

Answer
Have your breeder start working on crate training him before you get him. You'll want to have him as protected by vaccination as he can be at that age, and then be careful where you stop to exercise him (roadside parks where a lot of other dogs have been should be avoided). I had one friend, when we picked up her puppy took potty pads and had the pup go on those when we stopped. And of course, with a short faced breed, you want to be very careful about any situation which could lead to overheating. My guess is, as long as he's with you, he'll travel fine.
