my dogs dont get along.

i have a german shepherd that is 5 years old. and i brought home a 5 year old pit bull a few weeks ago. and as i watch them i can't help but notice that the pitt bull keeps bullying my german shepherd. I don't know if they are trying to establish pack position or something but i favor my german shepherd but my sister favors the pitt bull. so i can't rehome the pitt bull. what do i do to stop the pitt bull from bullying my german shepherd.

get rid of the pit bull before it kills or severly injures your shepherd.

You bought a bully breed dog. It is agressive toward the more docile Shepherd. You either have to try and train the agression out of the pit bull, very difficule in a dog this age, keep them separated, or get rid of the pit bull before he injurs or kills the Shepherd. Since your sister favors the pit bull, let her take care of it.  Bottom line, my statement above. The pit bull is highly dangerous. Your home owner insurance may already exclude pit bulls from liability coverage.
