Question
My 10 yr. old female has hard growths that have now enveloped both hips and right side is also on underside of her right ,covering the inner area. Her walking is becoming a struggle and she mostly just lays around. Her bowel and kidneys are still functioning. At first,I thought it was just muscles, but it is definitely not that.Could this be cancer and should I let my vet do exploratory surgery ?

Answer
When you say "hard growths" - can you describe this a bit more specifically.  Can you "move" them?

At 10 she should still be fairly active.  Have you consulted your vet?
Has he done a full blood workup?  Has he aspirated one of the growths and analyzed it?  What has he done and what does he think?
