Question
Hi,  Ill try to make this simple.  I have an 11 month old male bichon.  He has been crate trained from the begining. He has just recently done a 180 . He is going in the kitchen everytime even after he has just gone outside. He has a chewing problem as well and chews everything even his hard plastic bowls. We have been through several pet beds, lol they last one day. Hes fine when hes in his crate but when hes out forget it.  I dont know what else to do. I was told maybe if I get him neutered he will stop peeing . I am about to give up on him.  We recently got a 3 month old yorkie to keep him company, which i dont think he likes, but his peeing started even before that.  He was doing good at 6 months and now its really hell.

Answer
Welcome to owning a bichon frise.  They are extremely difficult to housebreak.  This is the breed.  They do not do well home alone all day.  So if your gone like 8 hours a day forget about getting him housebroken.  Also if you got him before 12 weeks of age he could be dysfuctional from that experience.   A reputable breeder would of told you all this.  If you can get him out every 2 hours you will have more success with housebreaking but it still takes a long time.
