Bichon sickness and diarheia

Question
Maisy started being sick on Friday morning, 1st time ever, she is 7 months old and just come into her first season.  Maisy has sickness and diarheia and I took her to the vet on Saturday, after the examination, temperature normal, no swelling in her tummy, heart normal, the vet gave her an injection to stop her being sick.  This worked but Maisy still has diarheia even though she hasn't eaten anything since Friday.  She is very subdued, not our crazy Maisy.  We have given her boiled chicken and rice but she is not interested at all.

I'm sure she must have eaten something she has found outside because she is always sniffing while we are walking.  I'm concerned that she is so poorly and sad and I would like some advice from anyone who can help me please?  Many thanks

Julie

Answer
If she is fully up to date on her vaccines then this could be associated with her first heat. I suggest giving her some apple that has been microwaved or boiled allowed to cool etc and serve up warm. About two tsps every two hours.
Feeding I suggest no rice as this may well bloat her. Give her boiled chicken and carrot batons with some ground oats.
Continue for one week and this should be fine.
She will go off food and may also become a tad odd during her first heat season.
