can an asthmatic own a beagle pup

my partner is cronic asthmatic , is a beagle pup a wise choice of dog?   do they shed?

yes, beagles do shed, not as bad as some dogs but enough that there is hair lying around. I am asthmatic as well but related to allergies and have adapted to my dogs dander. If it does affect me it is usually my eyes that will be itchy or swell but not to often. The only dogd that dont shed are poodles because they dont have fur, they have hair like us. Maybe a chinese crested since they have almost no hair/fur? But remember all dogs can produce dander which is what people are allergic really, dander is flakes of dead skin.
