Question
hi, i have today bought a 10 mth old male husky, i have already got a 5 yr old staff and an 18 mth female husky. When i first introduced them we did it in the garden with the staff and the new husky on leads the husky seems to be aggressive growling which then made the staff growl back and in fear of them fighting seperated them. I am now stuck and my girl husky seems to be scared of the new dog too as he growls at her. Please help.

Answer
This is not something that I can solve for you via email.  You really need a trainer or behaviorist to see the dogs to interpret the body language correctly for you.  Here are some ideas that you might want to digest:
1. Same gender dogs sometimes don't get along as well as opposite gender dogs.
2. If the males are un-neutered, or only one of them is neutered, they may be more likely to fight.
3. When making introductions, it's always better to do so on neutral territory, not at either dog's home.
4. Dogs that are on leash may feel trapped, or anxious, and are more likely to look or act aggressively.
5. Never commit to add a dog to a household if the breeder or seller will not let you take the dog for a trial to make sure it gets along with your dogs.
6. Better to re-home the new dog or ask for help from Husky rescue rather than traumatize or risk injury to your current dogs.
7. It's safest to get an experienced pro to help you.
