Begging

Question
Our cat begs (flanking and vocalizing)every time we prepare food in the kitchen.  We give her a good quality dry food (Science Diet) that she can graze on all day.  We once in a while give her canned food as a treat.  Is there anything we can do to stop the constant begging?  We never give her human food or feed her from the table.  Thanks.

Gee, my cats do that, too, and they also get a fabulous diet and plenty to eat.  It is just in the nature of most cats I know to "beg".

Frankly, I just consider that part of the mystique and ignore their vocalization and leg rubbing routine.
