Question
Hi Carrisa,
How are you
I have a 4 month old Persian cat. I have 3 questions :

1- I'm crazy about her, every one loves her at home, we carry her, hug her and kiss her alot, is that okay ? do you think she doesn't like that ?!!

2- sometimes I feel that she becomes irritable, anxious, running away from us never let us touch her, as if she is scared of something ?!!
this happens frequently, everyday,  all of a sudden, not preceded by any alarm, she is not hungry, no one hurts her, we are unable to explain that

3- I feel that she doesn't like her special food, is it advisable to give her portions of our own food ?

lastly : any special advice ?

Thank You soooooo much,
Fayza

Answer
Hi Fayza,

1. I have a Persian myself and I did that too. It's alright.

2. Persian are basically timid and tame by nature. Is there any new members in the family or is there anyone treating her too rough?

3. No. It's not advisable to let her eat your own food. If she doesn't like her kitten formula, try giving her some goat's milk or milk for kittens/cats. Perhaps you can try a bit of canned food mixed with dry food. Buy feline food suitable for kittens as it's more easily digestible and higher protein which will aid in her growth.

Other advise: Persian has long fur. So it'll be best to comb her on a daily basis. At 4 mths, she's still be relatively small. Therefore, get a small brush will do. As she gets bigger, then you can get a bigger brush. This will keep her fur matt-free.
