Answer
Hello Yolanda,

You have'nt really given me much information here, like the sexes of your other cats, how old they all are and if she attacks you when you go in the room also.

To be honest Yolanda I'm a little worried for the safety of the kitten here, it seems that the mother is getting very aggressively defensive and I'm concerned this may turn into maternal aggression and she will harm the kitten as a miss-guided attempt to save the kitten from being harmed by others in the house. She obviously dos'nt feel safe where she is, and that is worrying, not just for her but for the kitten.

Yolanda you need to make sure you keep your other cats well away from her nest, I mean completely out of the way. You need to put food, water and a litter tray in the room where she is and you also should be feeding the mother kitten food at the moment also. I would also recommend purchasing a Feliway diffuser and placing that in the room (you can buy one of these from your vets or most pet shops). And make sure you check her to make sure she has given birth to all of her kittens. Make sure she is not straining or that you can feel kittens in her tummy still. Because if this is the case and it has been a while now since she gave birth to her first kitten then you must get her to the vets.

The most important thing here is that you need to make her environment as stress free as possible, that means not allowing anyone to come into the room to look at the new arrival until she is ready, and also keeping noise to a minimum and visitors to a minimum.

Good luck and I hope this has helped

Thank you
