Question
Hi. I'm hoping you can help me out. i have a 12 week old sphynx kitten i would LOVE to show with CFA. I am just LOST as to how it all works though. I know a ton about dog shows but cat shows....lol. But my kitten's entire family are Grand Champions so i would really like to get his career started. I read the CFA website but it's a little confusing! Any help i would LOVE! i don;t understand how they are "shown" in rings...so confused! Thanks in advance

Answer
If you would like to know all the details you can call me or send me your phone number so that I can explain it all to you easily.
I can not write it all out now.
Basically, you go to the  website for CFA to find shows near you and call that entry clek. Tell this person that you are a novice to showing and ask for the details for the show.
Actually, the cat is brought to the judges table, placed in a cage. The judge then takes the cat out of the cage, looks at it, evaluates it and returns it to the cage.
You then take the kitten back to a waiting cage which is called a benching cage. This is repeated about 6 to 8 times over a 2 day show.
Your kitten can not be shown until it is over four months old.
There is a lot more to know, some of which can be found on the CFA site, if you look carefully.
You may write me at barbazan@yahoo.com for my phne number or to leave me yours. I will call if you leave me a number and a time when you are available to chat.
Good luck,

Barb
